Pinhook Vertical Series 11 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 750ml bottle, bottled unfiltered at cask strength, 57.2% ABV. This is the 2026 release of a series that follows one group of about 1,350 barrels as they age year by year.
The whiskey was distilled in 2015 at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, from a mash bill of 75% corn, 20.5% rye and 4.5% malted barley. The barrels were then moved to Castle & Key in Frankfort, Kentucky, where Sean Josephs blends each vintage. This one draws on 62 barrels and is sealed in gold wax.
The nose brings burnt orange peel, molasses, white pepper and cedar. The palate is rich and coating, with ripe strawberry, crème brûlée, toasted almond and candied cinnamon, followed by a long, warming finish of spice and seasoned oak.
