Pittyvaich – 1979 Rarest of the Rare 28 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Pittyvaich (Speyside). Aged 28 years, bottled at 52.7% ABV, 70cl. A contender for shortest-lived Speyside distillery, opened by Arthur Bell & Sons in 1975 and operational only until 1993. The distillery was intended to increase provision for the company's blends but its acquisition by Guinness in 1985 eventually saw it deemed surplus to requirements.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
