A Guatemalan rum from Destiladora de Alcoholes y Rones, distilled from molasses in a column still. It matured for several years in American bourbon barrels in the country of origin, then 1 year in Ferrand casks and 11 months in Moscatel casks. Dosage is 15 and the ester level is 46. The nose has lightly spicy fruit sweetness with grape and raisin. The palate is dominated by spicy fruit sweetness with a hint of Moscatel grapes. The Plantation Single Cask rums are limited editions of double-matured rums, first in former bourbon barrels in tropical climate and then finished in ex-Ferrand casks of French oak in south-west France.
