A 15-year-old single cask rum from Guyana, distilled in 2007 by Demerara Distillers Limited from molasses using a pot still. It spent five years tropically ageing in Bourbon casks, thirteen years continentally in Ferrand casks and a further year in a Malbec cask, plus seven months in Teeling Single Malt Irish Whiskey casks. Bottled at 53.7% vol in a 700 ml bottle, cask number 9, with esters of 39 g/hL AA, volatile compounds of 201 g/hL AA and dosage of 0 g/L.
Tasting Notes
Rich, woody and spicy, with cloves, cinnamon, pepper, tar, smoky molasses, roasted chestnut, berries and thyme honey.
Round and fruitier, with orange, peach, plum, maple syrup and leather.
Long and powerful, with fruit and leather.
