A single cask rum from Guyana, distilled in 2011 by Demerara Distillers Limited from molasses using a pot still. It was aged for two years in American bourbon casks in the country of origin, then nine years in Ferrand casks and one year in Big Peat Islay whisky casks. The finish uses a peated blended malt made from several Islay whiskies. It is bottled at 48.8% vol in a 700 ml bottle with no dosage.
On the nose it shows date, ripe fig, integrated smoke, peat, chamotte and ethereal notes. The palate is spicy-sweet with bitter fruit, smoked Black Forest ham, peat and tobacco, finishing very balanced.
