Plymouth Gin is an English gin distilled since 1793 at the historic Black Friars Distillery in Plymouth, Devon.
It is made by traditional copper pot distillation using seven botanicals: juniper, coriander seed, lemon peel, sweet orange peel, angelica root, orris root and green cardamom. These are distilled with soft, locally sourced Dartmoor water.
The nose is rich and fresh, with balanced juniper, citrus zest from lemon and sweet orange peel, and spiced notes of coriander and green cardamom. The palate is smooth and full-bodied yet approachable, with crisp citrus, gentle earthiness and subtle root spice. The finish is clean and elegant, with lingering citrus echoes and gentle warmth.
