Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Second Limited Edition is a heavily peated Islay single malt from the Bruichladdich team. It was bottled in 2016 in a run of 18,000 bottles, and it anticipates the Port Charlotte that now sits in the permanent range. The whisky matured in first-fill bourbon casks, sherry casks, Spanish tempranillo wine casks and French wine casks. It is usually described as having dark fruit and white flowers on the nose, medicinal and citrus notes on the palate, and a gentle, well-balanced finish.
