Proof and Wood The Stranger is a rye whiskey that began in Poland, where it was distilled and aged in French oak. It later crossed to the USA and was aged in ex-bourbon barrels, reaching seven years in total, before a few months in ex-rye barrels to finish.
It is non-chill filtered and bottled at 52.5% ABV (105 proof).
Cinnamon, pine and cherry are the notes described, set against plenty of vanilla and caramel in a spicy rye style.
