Proof & Wood Vertigo 2021 is a blended American whiskey in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 51.15% in 2021 and limited to 1,867 bottles. It is a blend of 12 barrels: a 2012 rye, a 2015 bourbon, and American light whiskeys distilled in 1992 and 2008, all from the MGP distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
The components are between 6 and 19 years old. Proof & Wood Ventures sources, blends and bottles whiskey without distilling it.
The nose is floral and vanilla-led, with chestnut, cedar and Bing cherry. The palate is pastry-like, with baked cherry, toasted vanilla and rum cake over floral rye spice, and the finish is long and warm.
