PUNI Sole is a four-year-old Italian whisky bottled at 46% ABV. It spent its first two years in first-fill bourbon casks from the United States, then a further two years in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Spain.
The name is Italian for 'sun', a nod to the sun-drying of the grapes used for sherry and to the solera method of ageing the wine.
The flavour is distinctly sweet, with strong notes of honey and blood orange set against creamy walnut and spicy oak.
