Queen Margaret De Luxe is a whisky from the 1960s, from Union Whisky Company, in a 75cl bottle at 43%.
The nose is soft and rich, with ripe fruit, raisins, toffee and vanilla, plus a faint woody spice from the casks. The palate is balanced and syrupy, with toasted nuts, dark caramel and sweet malt, and a very soft smoke of old peat. The finish is warm and long, with chocolate, sweet spices and a faint echo of sherry.
