A single cask rum from Panama, distilled in February 2004 from molasses in a column still at the Ron Abuelo distillery in Pesé. It matured for ten years in a former bourbon cask, was shipped to Britain in 2014 and bottled in October 2023, with an outturn of 352 bottles.
The nose brings vanilla, caramel, malt, subtle fruit sweetness, plum compote, dried fruit and tobacco. The palate shows burnt sugar, dark chocolate, coffee, an oily texture, whisky notes and subtle sweetness. The finish is of medium length with oak, dark chocolate and plum compote.
