RD One Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

RD One is a straight bourbon from RD1 Spirits, distilled, aged and bottled in Kentucky on copper equipment with locally sourced ingredients. The mash bill is 70% corn, 21% rye and 9% malted barley. The bottle is made to a custom design that nods to Lexington's distilling history, with the Ashland Distillery tree and the lettering of the Old William Tarr bottle. The nose offers vanilla wafers and roasted almonds. On the palate come orange, honeyed caramel, herbal tea and peppery oak, leading to a long, warm finish with a hint of ginger and cinnamon.
