Redbreast 12 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey from the Midleton Distillery in County Cork. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The mash combines malted and unmalted barley, and the spirit is triple distilled.
The whiskey spends 12 years maturing in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon barrels and Spanish oak Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose brings dried fruit, toasted wood and rich sherry sweetness with a hint of spice. The palate is full-bodied, with tropical fruit, nuts and vanilla over warm spices, and the finish is long and creamy, with spice, sherry and oak.
