Redbreast 18 Year Old is an Irish single pot still whiskey made from a mix of malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in copper stills. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It spent 18 years in bourbon casks and in Oloroso sherry, Cream sherry and ruby port casks.
The nose is fruity, with red berries, blackcurrant and dried figs, then praline chocolate, cinnamon, polished oak and worn leather. The palate is full-bodied, with sun-ripened raisins, autumn fruits, ginger, a touch of liquorice and orange peel. The finish is rich and lingering as spice and oak fade slowly.
