This is an Irish single pot still whiskey from Redbreast, made at the Midleton Distillery and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a special release in the Iberian Series.
The whiskey first matures in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, then is finished in sweet Moscatel wine casks from Málaga, which add fruity and floral notes to Redbreast's creamy, spicy house style.
The nose is fruity and floral, with ripe grapes, citrus, blossom honey, vanilla and candied orange. The palate is soft and full, with orchard and tropical fruit, honey, toffee and vanilla. The finish is long, with fruity sweetness, gentle spice and oak.
