Redemption Bourbon is a high-rye straight bourbon distilled at the MGP Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and bottled at 42% in a 750ml bottle.
Its mashbill is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, a recipe inspired by pre-Prohibition whiskey. The spirit is aged for a minimum of two years in new, charred American oak barrels, then blended in small batches.
The nose is caramel and sweet corn with vanilla, dried fruit, nutmeg and a hint of overripe banana. On the palate, soft toffee and caramel give way to baking spice, kola nut and peppery warmth. The finish is medium in length, with cracked pepper and corn sweetness.
