Redemption Rye is a straight rye whiskey from Indiana, non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle.
It is distilled at MGP in Lawrenceburg from a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. The barrels are then taken to Bardstown, Kentucky, for bottling.
The nose is spicy, with toasted oak, caramel, allspice, spearmint and dill. On the palate soft grain and rye spice lead to nutmeg, toasted pecans, red apple and a touch of orange and lemon. The medium-long finish brings spearmint coolness, dry oak and a hint of almond.
