Redwood Empire Cask Strength Pipe Dream Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 58.4%)

Redwood Empire Cask Strength Pipe Dream is a straight bourbon from Graton, California, in a 75cl bottle. It is bottled uncut and unfiltered at 58.4% ABV, straight from the barrel. It is the cask-strength version of the brand's flagship Pipe Dream, which is bottled at 90 proof. This is the same whiskey before any water is added. The release described here is from 2023. The nose is toffee, cherry and soft leather. On the palate come cherry cola, honey butterscotch and pecans, followed by a long, warm finish.
