This is a single barrel Rhum Agricole from Rhum J.M on Martinique, distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2024 at cask strength, 54.2% abv. The distillery has worked in the agricole tradition since 1845, under the rules of the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée.
It matured for eight years in a single French oak barrel, number 200074, in the tropical climate of the Caribbean. Just 300 bottles were filled.
The nose is subtle and fine, with a pronounced woody character and the scent of freshly cut vanilla pods.
