Rock Town Four Grain Sour Mash Straight Bourbon is a small batch bourbon distilled, aged and bottled at Rock Town Distillery in Little Rock, Arkansas. The mash bill is 73% corn, 9% rye, 9% wheat and 9% malted barley, using Arkansas-grown grain.
It is double distilled and aged in 25 gallon barrels for at least 24 months. Part of the previous batch's stillage is used to start each sour mash cook. It is bottled at 92 proof.
The nose is toasty and earthy, with warm grain, honey, orange peel and baked cherries. The palate is smooth, round and fruit-forward, with honey-baked walnuts, and the finish carries salted caramel.
