This is a straight rye whiskey from Rod & Hammer's Slo Stills, bottled at 45% ABV. The mash bill is 95% rye, with just enough malted barley to keep fermentation going, well above the 51% minimum the law requires for rye.
It spent two years in new American oak barrels.
The flavour is deep and complex, with leather and exotic woods of the kind usually found in older whiskies.
