Roe & Co Irish Whiskey (70cl, 45%)

Roe & Co is an Irish blend of malt and grain whiskeys, bottled at 45% without chill-filtering. It was launched by Diageo in 2017, and the name recalls George Roe, whose Thomas Street distillery was once among the most important in Dublin. Bourbon casks shape the blend. A high proportion of first-fill casks adds creamy vanilla, while the grain whiskeys bring a soft side. It was designed to work in cocktails and can also be drunk neat. The nose is creamy and fragrant, with mild spice, warm vanilla and a woody hint. The palate is velvety, with sweet pears, vanilla and spice, and the finish is gentle and creamy.
