Roederer Estate L'Ermitage Brut 2012 Anderson Valley (75cl)

Roederer Estate L'Ermitage is the prestige sparkling wine from Roederer's Anderson Valley estate in Mendocino County, California, made only in exceptional vintages. This is the 2012, a Brut blended from estate-grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It spent five years on the lees and includes 2007 reserve wines for added complexity. Part of the wine went through malolactic conversion and it was aged in large French oak casks for texture and richness. It was disgorged in April 2018 and rested a further five months on cork before release. The aromas and flavours run from fig and mushroom to butter and baking spices, on a supple, creamy texture with a very fine bead and a long finish.
