Roederer Estate L'Ermitage Brut Rosé 2015 is a sparkling rosé from Anderson Valley in Mendocino County, California. Roederer Estate, founded in 1982, is the Californian property of Champagne Louis Roederer. L'Ermitage follows the Champagne idea of selecting only the best of the vintage. It is made from the cuvée pressing alone, as a blend of 52% Chardonnay and 48% Pinot Noir, and the house adds oak-aged reserve wines to its blends. The bubbles are fine and the mousse long lasting. The nose has hazelnut, roasted pecans and a little clove. The palate shows Asian pear and baked green apple with a creamy mid-palate and lively acidity, finishing dry.
