Romagna DOC Sangiovese Appassimento - Tenuta Santodeno - Magnum (1.5L)

Romagna DOC Sangiovese Appassimento from Tenuta Santodeno, made from Sangiovese grapes dried naturally to concentrate sugars and aromas. The wine is deep ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose shows ripe red fruit, cherry and plum, with sweet spice, chocolate and a light vanilla note from wood ageing. On the palate it is enveloping and velvety, with soft, well-integrated tannins and an initial sweetness leading to a persistent fruity, spicy finish. Suited to rich dishes such as roasts, stews and aged cheeses.
