This is a Tasmanian single malt from Turner Stillhouse, made with Tasmanian water and malted barley and bottled at 46% in a 50cl bottle.
It was matured in ex-French oak casks that previously held Tasmanian Pinot Noir, and takes a ruby-tinged amber colour from them.
The nose has dark berries, stewed fruit, toasted oak and a hint of smoke, with leather and tobacco beneath. The palate is soft and full-bodied, with fruitcake, warm spice, gentle tannins and dark chocolate. The finish is long, with dried red fruit, dark chocolate, tobacco and light oak.
