A red wine from Girlan, named for the 448 metres above sea level of its Alto Adige site. It is a blend of Schiava, Pinot Nero and Lagrein, fermented in stainless steel and briefly matured in wooden barrels. In the glass it is a vivid ruby red. The nose brings cherry and raspberry, with sweet spice and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is fresh, with soft, well-integrated tannins and a pleasant, lingering finish. Versatile at table, it suits red meat and medium-aged cheeses.
