Rowan's Creek Small Batch Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 50%)

Rowan's Creek Small Batch is a Kentucky bourbon bottled by hand in Bardstown under the Rowan's Creek Distillery name, a DBA of Willett Distillery. It is bottled at 100.1 proof (50.05%) in a 750ml bottle, and every batch is brought to the same strength. The name comes from the creek running through the distillery grounds. The whiskey is aged in charred new oak, and since around 2020 the bottlings have been made from Willett's own distillate. On the nose, caramel and vanilla sit over a green herbal, faintly minty note, with autumn baking spice and a grassy rye edge. The palate is oily at first, then dry, with caramel, dark cherry, maple and black pepper.
