A 15-year-old single cask rum from El Salvador, distilled in 2007 at Ingenio La Cabaña from molasses using a column still. It matured for 11 years in an American white oak cask in the tropical climate of El Paisnal, then for a further 4 years in Liverpool. The outturn was 310 bottles.
It has a deep golden amber colour, with aromas of panela sugar, coconut, dark caramel, toasted almonds and walnuts. The palate shows cola, caramel, raw sugar, toasted coconut and almonds with a velvety texture. The finish is nutty, with dark roast coffee, peppercorn, menthol and sandalwood.
