Ruadh Maor 11 Year Old 2014 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Hogshead #69 Best Dram (56.9%)

Ruadh Maor is the peated style of Glenturret, here an 11 year old single malt distilled on 30 September 2014. It matured in a first fill Oloroso sherry hogshead, cask 69, and Best Dram bottled it on 14 January 2026 at a cask strength of 56.9%. The cask yielded 337 bottles. The sherry wood adds dark fruit and spice while the peat smoke remains clear. The nose opens with sweet raisins and soft vanilla, then a little cinnamon, with smoke behind. On the palate ginger comes first, followed by malty oak and dark chocolate, with gentle smoke alongside the sherry.
