This is a single cask Ruadh Maor, the heavily peated spirit from Glenturret, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2020 at 9 years old for Cooper's Choice. It matured in an ex-bourbon cask and was bottled at 58% in a 70cl bottle, yielding 342 bottles.
Ruadh Maor was first made in 2009 as the peated component for Black Grouse, when Edrington owned the distillery. Peat levels are reported to be around 80 to 120ppm, so a strong phenolic character is to be expected.
