Hogshead
A 14-year-old heavily peated Highland single malt, distilled in 2011 at Glenturret and drawn from a single hogshead, number 284. Berry Bros. & Rudd bottled it at a cask strength of 60.6% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour. It is the 2026 release in the Odyssey series, begun in 2024, and carries The Auld & The Bold name, which looks at the relationship between Scottish whisky tradition and a new generation of international producers. The nose offers earthy peat, damp fern and scorched herbs, with wildflower honey, malt sweetness, apple peel and roast meat beneath. The palate brings charcoal embers, singed twigs and peat, and the finish carries smoke, sweet barley malt and warming earthy spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
