Ruadh Mhor is the name for a smoky Glenturret, and this is a single cask 10 year old bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2012 and matured for ten years in a sherry puncheon, then released in 2022 at a cask strength of 63.9%. It is unfiltered and uncoloured, and only 639 bottles were filled. The nose opens with smoky barbecue bacon, campfire ash and spent fireworks, with dried fruit and sherry. On the palate, strong peat smoke is balanced by woody spice, cloves, new leather and rich fruit cake. The finish is long and complex, with peat smoke and ash.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
