Rumclub Ed. 15 Private Selection Caribbean (70cl, 43.6%)

A Navy-style Caribbean rum blend from Rumclub, finished for several months in a former red wine cask and limited to 334 bottles. It combines components from Barbados, Martinique (rhum agricole), Jamaica, Guyana and Trinidad; the youngest rum was tropically matured for three years and the oldest for 15 years, much of it continental ageing. The nose shows a fruit basket, from light fruits to dried dark fruits, with molasses and some chocolate. The palate adds dried fruits, nutty nuances and toasted wood. The finish is long, complex and well balanced.
