Rumclub Ed. 38 Belize 2006 (50cl, 62.9%)

A single cask rum from Belize, distilled in 2006 from molasses and aged for 17 years: ten years tropically in Belize and seven years on the continent in Europe. It was matured in an ex-Bourbon cask and bottled at 62.9% in a 500 ml bottle, with an outturn of 376 bottles. The nose is intensely present, with dark fruit, subtle coffee and chocolate. The palate is full and dense, complex, with plenty of wood, tobacco, leather, fruit, slightly dirty elements (glue), coconut and a pleasantly soft, smooth texture. The finish is very long and harmonious.
