Rumclub Ed. 60 Galapagos 2015 Rum (50cl, 49.6%)

A single cask rum from a small distillery on the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, distilled from freshly pressed sugar cane juice in a small pot still. It was aged for ten years in the tropics at the equator and bottled at full cask strength. The release is limited to 325 bottles. The nose is very delicate and fine, with a fruity opening, gentle sweetness, vanilla, toffee, sweet pastry and a hint of marzipan. The palate is very smooth, fruity and uncomplicated, with well-integrated alcohol and a balance of fruitiness, sweetness and fresh wood notes. The finish is harmonious and round, soft and sweet-fruity.
