Rumclub Edition 56 Bielle Marie Galante 2019 Rhum Agricole (50cl, 75.2%)

A rhum agricole distilled in March 2019 at the Bielle distillery on the island of Marie Galante. It is made from freshly pressed sugar cane juice and was put into cask at full distillation strength of 77% vol. After distillation it travelled to Europe aboard the sailing ship Avontuur, then matured for six years in a small white wine cask from the Azorean island of Pico. The outturn is 137 bottles. The nose is fruity, agricole, harmonious and delicately refreshing, with Pico white wine, complexity, sweet honey and yellow fruit. The palate shows honey, fresh sugar cane, refreshing green aromas, yellow fruit and dried fruit.
