Sagamore Spirit – Double Oak Rye Whiskey (75cl, 48.3%)

Sagamore Spirit Double Oak Rye is a Maryland-style straight rye whiskey from the Sagamore Spirit distillery in Baltimore, bottled at 48.3% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is aged for four to five years, first in traditional barrels and then in a second, freshly charred oak barrel, which deepens the colour and concentrates the flavour. The colour is golden amber. The nose has baking spices, dried orange peel and warm cinnamon, while the palate brings smooth caramel, toasted coconut, hazelnut and pecan, followed by a vanilla and caramel finish.
