Sagamore Spirit – Signature Rye Whiskey (75cl, 41.5%)

A Maryland-style straight rye whiskey from Sagamore Spirit, aged for four to five years and bottled at 83 proof in a 75cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 2013 by Kevin Plank on Sagamore Farm in Maryland. The whiskey is made with limestone aquifer spring water from a spring house built there in 1909, and it follows the softer Maryland tradition of rye. The nose has vanilla, caramel and baking spices. The palate brings candied dried orange peel, clove and nutmeg, finishing with hints of walnut and brown sugar. The colour is golden straw.
