San Valentino Scabi Rosso Sangiovese Superiore DOC Magnum (1.5L, 14%)

Scabi Rosso is an organic Sangiovese Superiore DOC from San Valentino, made from grapes grown on the hills of Covignano in Emilia Romagna. This is the 150cl magnum, at 14% vol. Fermentation is natural, in steel with indigenous yeasts. The wine then rests in steel on its fine lees for eight to ten months, with regular batonnage. It is ruby red with violet shades. The nose brings plum, raspberry and redcurrant with a hint of red rose. The palate has good structure and well-integrated tannins, and the finish recalls red berry jam. It pairs with meat-sauce pasta, red meats and young cheeses.
