Terra di Covignano is a 2017 Sangiovese Superiore Riserva from San Valentino in Emilia Romagna, made from 100% Sangiovese grown organically on the hills of Covignano. It is a DOC wine at 14% vol.
Fermentation is natural, in steel with indigenous yeasts. The wine then ages for 18 to 20 months in large oak barrels and barriques.
It is intense ruby with purple hints. The nose offers cherry, blueberry and blackcurrant, with thyme and juniper, violet, red rose and a touch of rhubarb. The palate is broad and well structured, with developed tannins and a finish of dark chocolate and plum jam.
