Sanchez Romate Cream Sherry (75cl, 17%)

Sanchez Romate Cream Sherry is a sweet sherry from Jerez, Spain, in a 75cl bottle at 17% vol. It is built on Palomino Fino and sweetened and enriched with Pedro Ximenez, the raisined grape that gives it a dark mahogany colour. It has been aged for more than five years. The bodega was founded in Jerez de la Frontera in 1781 by Juan Sanchez de la Torre and is still in local family hands. Cream is the sweet end of its range. In the glass it shows fruit aromas, hints of oak and sweet baking spice. The palate is smooth and velvety, with candied citrus peel and fruit preserves, and it finishes full and creamy with a long, sweet fade.
