A Sangiovese di Romagna DOC Riserva from Azienda Agricola Gallegati. In the glass it shows an intense ruby red with light garnet reflections. The nose offers ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, sweet spice nuances and a floral hint. The structure is balanced, with present but well-integrated tannins and freshness that supports the palate. The finish is persistent but not excessive, leaving a fruity memory and a light earthy note.
It suits Romagna dishes such as meat ragù pasta, roasts, grilled meats and savoury cured meats, and also medium-aged cheeses. Serve around 16-18 °C, with light decanting if desired.
