Santa Croce Franciacorta DOCG Pas Dosé

A sparkling wine from Santa Croce, made in Franciacorta in Lombardy by the classic method with a second fermentation in bottle. Pas Dosé means no dosage syrup was added at disgorgement, leaving the wine completely dry. The grapes are mainly Chardonnay, with possible Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco. It is bright straw yellow with fine persistent perlage. The nose shows green apple, citrus, bread crust and white flowers from at least 30 months on the lees. On the palate it is lively and structured, with balanced acidity and a long mineral finish. Serve as an aperitif or with fish, shellfish and fresh cheeses.
