Savage & Cooke – Digits Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 46%)

A bourbon made by Savage & Cooke of Mare Island, Vallejo, California, in collaboration with Scottie Pippen and Dave Phinney. The two hand selected the barrels, using bourbon from Indiana and Tennessee that was aged at Savage & Cooke. The youngest whiskey in the blend is five years old. The mashbill is high in rye, at 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, and the bourbon is bottled at 46% (92 proof). The bottle carries an image of a hand, a reference to the Digits name. The nose shows brown sugar, oak and dark cherry. The palate is lush and velvety, with vanilla bean, caramel, buttered toast and maple, plus a layer of dark chocolate. The finish is smooth and mellow.
