Scallywag Remarkable Regional Malts (70cl, 46%)

Scallywag is a small batch blended malt from Douglas Laing, made from Speyside malts including Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and is non-chill-filtered. The malts were matured mainly in Spanish sherry casks, which give it a rich, dark colour. The name comes from the Fox Terriers kept over generations by the Douglas Laing family. Tasting notes mention rich dark fruits, chocolate and spice, with vanilla arriving late.
