Scallywag Speyside Malt (46%)

Scallywag Speyside Malt is a blended malt from Douglas Laing, made only from Speyside whiskies from several distilleries, among them Macallan, Glenrothes and Mortlach. It is a small batch bottling at 46%, without added colour and not chill-filtered, matured in bourbon and Spanish sherry casks. This bottling is dedicated to Binks, the fox terrier who keeps the Douglas Laing family company. The nose is sweet, with icing sugar, sultanas and candied ginger. Nutmeg and muesli come through on the palate, with vanilla and cinnamon later on. The finish brings oak spice together with vanilla and sherry.
