Scallywags Finest is a Speyside single malt bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular series of single casks. The label shows a terrier wearing a monocle.
It was distilled in August 2018 and bottled in October 2023, after about five years in a sherry butt that yielded 297 bottles. It is bottled at 48.4% ABV, without chill-filtering or added colour.
The flavour is sweet and fruity: pickled dark fruits and spices, then molasses and rum-soaked raisins, finishing with vanilla fudge and fruit cake.
