A single malt from Scapa on Orkney, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The name Skiren means 'glittering, bright sky' and refers to the summer sky over Orkney.
It matures only in American first-fill oak casks and is produced in small batches. The aromas are maritime and salty, with fruity and floral notes.
The nose is very mild, with citrus fruit, heather, sweet honey and a coastal note. The palate balances spice and sweetness, with vanilla and honey meeting oak. The finish is long, sweet at first and slightly salty towards the end.
